Discount car audio is generally used to refer to the sound system in an automobile, though the term also refers more vastly to the field of mobile entertainment and is becoming a hobby at large. The most common and recognizable piece of discount car audio equipment is the radio/tape player/CD player which is usually described as a Head unit. Many cars contain at least a CD player. Speakers are located in rear parcel shelves and doors of a sedan in today’s automobiles. Before stereo radio was introduced, the most common speaker location of cheap car audio was in the middle of the dashboard pointing through perforations towards the front windshield. Amplifiers provide the needed music power. High Power amplifiers involve a large gauge cable to provide suitable voltage and current to the amplifier. The amplifier is a very important module of a loud speaker system. When linking too many speakers to the head unit alone you need to be careful as it is dangerous with cheap car audio equipment. Alternators may be upgraded from the stock unit to increase the current capability of the vehicle’s electrical system, often required of high-power wholesale car audio system components. Installing a capacitor is another option when trying to provide substantial power to the wholesale car audio system.

An effective method of saving money when shopping for car audio equipment is to either go for wholesale car audio equipment, by skipping the retail stores, or shop online by way of the Internet. High-end audio systems comprise component speakers that consist of a matched tweeter (small, high frequency), mid-range (medium, medium frequency) and woofer (large, low frequency) set. Car audio accessories include RCA adapters, converters and inverters, power distribution blocks and noise filters. This helps to give your music a clean sound and better listening pleasure.

car tips and tricks

In the previous part of this article I covered ten ways to help reduce your car insurance quotes, despite petrol prices going down our insurance premiums continue to rise to the point of many of us questioning whether having a car is really worth it.

Well help is at hand yet again, here are another ten tips and tricks to help bring your car insurance quotes back down to manageable levels.

11 – Avoid the soft top at all costs!  Soft top cars are an insurance nightmare; they’re easy to break into and tend to be higher performance vehicles.  You’re more likely to be hurt in an accident too so medical costs being claimed for are going to do you no favours come renewal time.

12 – Get extra qualified for driving by taking a pass plus course or an advanced driving course, by learning how to be safer and being able to drive more confidently in most situations you are proving to your car insurance provider that you can be trusted not to wrap your car round a lamp post.

13 – Cut down on who is listed as a named driver on your car, the more people that drive a car the more risk there is and so premiums shoot up.  Fewer drivers, especially teenage drivers will typically bring your quotes down assuming you have a clean record yourself.

14 – Save money on your breakdown cover by checking your battery, water, oil and petrol levels before a big journey and every few months for your oil as these can be common call out reasons.  You’ll typically receive a no call out bonus at the end of the year if you don’t need to call out the AA, RAC or whoever you are with.

15 – Consider only insuring 3rd party, fire and theft insurance if your car is old or of low value.  Cars under £2000 in value are typically not worth insuring with full comprehensive cover as most repairs will cost more than the cost of the car.

16 – If you are deemed a bad risk from previous convictions or financially then there are some insurers who specialise in insuring people like you!  Search them out and ask insurers whether they will cover someone in your circumstance.

17 – Some companies will offer No Claims Bonus protection where in certain circumstances you will not have to lose your NCB, typically this helps when someone else is found to be at fault of an accident with your car, considering NCBs are highly sought after it’s no surprise that many people want to keep their record squeaky clean.

18 – .Compare multiple providers, by checking with other companies you may be able to find the perfect insurer for you personally.  Sometimes playing one insurer off against the other may even help, when you get quoted for a price and another has quoted a better price then mention it and ask if they can beat it, if they won’t then you have still got the other provider so you can’t lose.  Again: don’t ask, don’t get.

19 – Lower your mileage and you can get some nice discounts, because you’re on the road less then you’re less likely to be involved in an accident.  Mileages under 12,000 typically earn 5 to 10 percent discount on car insurance and if you’re in a household with multiple cars and have a mileage of fewer than 5,000 then you’ll get even further cuts.

20 – Sometimes going direct to the insurers themselves can be the best option; some insurers do not buy into the whole insurance broker business and their discounts are saved for those who contact them directly, invariably this is only a small amount of insurers that adopt this policy, possibly because they don’t have very competitive prices!

So there you go twenty tips to drag your car insurance premiums down, by simply heeding the advice of a few of these tips you’re going to help bring your car insurance quotes down to a more manageable cost.

car tips and tricks

Whether you own the car of your dreams or you simply dream about owning the car of your dreams, joining a car club related to that particular car is a must. We have found that car clubs are a great way to network, meet others with similar interests and to get deals on cars and accessories.

Many people think that car clubs are simply for those people who want or have a tricked out ride with all the chrome their car can hold. This is definitely not true. From searching car clubs and information about car clubs, we found clubs available for anything from lowriders, monster trucks and motorcycles to luxury and high end vehicles. It seems that car clubs carry a stigma to be more for teenagers dreaming of owning a tricked out ride whereas they are really for anyone of any age who has a love of cars.

What do you get when you join a car club? This varies from club to club, but we have found a few things that are more prevelant. Many of the clubs have a monthly newsletter that will notify you of new products and accessories, cars for sale and upcoming car events. There is also gear that you can buy related to that car including t-shirts, hats, key chains, travel mugs and water bottles. You typically get a discount on these items if you belong to these clubs. If the club has a website, you can join the forum to share information about things you have done to your car as well as solicit advice from others.

If you are a car collector or are planning to purchase a car, car clubs can also help you find good deals. We know of one man who is a member of the S2000 club. After graduating from college, he decided to downsize in cars for a couple of years. Now that he owns his own business, he wanted to purchase another S2000. Through people he met at the car club he was able to find an awesome deal on a used one.

Car club memberships also make great gifts for the people we know who have everything. We have done this for a father-in-law who just purchased a Mini Cooper and a cousin who is into Lowriders. They both loved the gift and enjoy getting the newsletters and buying car gear for themselves.

So, whether you are driving a luxury car or cruising in your tricked out Honda, there is a car club just waiting for you. You can join for a small fee, but the perks, discounts and networking make it all well worth it. If, on the off chance, you can’t find a car club that fits your needs, consider starting your own. Chances are there are others out there who would love to join the club and swap car tips and information with each other.

auto loan calculator

There are many car loan calculators available to allow you to determine your monthly payment or even your car purchase price.

‘Buy or lease’ car loan calculators are also available. Such calculators are capable of comparing amounts, and will let you see which is the better value for you.

One limitation of a car loan calculator is that it is not a quote. This is because your actual repayments may change based on your individual circumstances.

The features of a car loan calculator are generally similar. Most car loan calculators allow you to put in the amount of money you would like to loan. Afterwards, you can select how many months you would like to pay it back. Finally, you can click the car loan calculator button and see how it works out how much you will end up paying the finance company. This would, of course, depend on how many months you choose and what their annual percentage rate (APR) is.

A car loan calculator can be offered free on the internet as an Excel Spreadsheet Download Area. It is ready to use. All of them have several loan scenarios on one 8×10 printout, allowing you to make quick decisions about your car loan. You can also find car loan calculators online at E-LOAN and Capital One Auto Finance. If you have a PocketPC type PDA, you can download a version of some car loan calculator for PDA. You can use the spreadsheets to compare online auto loan rates to the car dealer auto loan rates. New car financing has never been easier for you.

Here are some general kinds of car loan calculators and see which works best for your car loan needs.

Free Car Loan Calculator – There are tons of free car loan calculators around, especially on the internet. Remember most of the calculators are just to work out what your ideal monthly payments should be and are NOT a quote. There are free car loan calculator links all over the net.

New Car Loan Calculator – New car loan calculators help you work out your ideal monthly payments. A lot of new car loan calculators can be used for a variety of uses like used car loans. With this calculator, you can usually enter your own interest rate for your loan.

Online Auto Loan Calculator – There’s quite a lot of online car loan calculators out there that you can use and you’ll find links to online auto loan calculators that can hopefully help you find the best deal.

Why are car loan calculators useful? You’ll need to calculate your car loan payments and look up dealer costs for cars and trucks. Without the knowledge you have derived from using a car loan calculator, you could miss out on a good deal. Bank and finance companies could take advantage of your lack of research.

As you try to arrive at how much car you can afford with car loan calculators, don’t think in terms of the monthly payment or just of the total price of the car. The monthly payment, as we’ve seen, can be manipulated just as easily and both approaches leave out other costs associated with the car, such as insurance, fuel and maintenance. To truly understand if you can afford a car, you must take all these factors into consideration. There are ‘how much car can you afford?’ calculators which will help you arrive at a close approximation. They work in the same way as car loan calculators.

There’s still more to do before you actually start shopping for a car of your own. Decide whether you should buy a brand new or a pre-owned vehicle and whether you would be better off buying or leasing. There are pros and cons to both questions. Either way, car loan calculators can speed up your decision.
